Is interstellar travel possible?

Interstellar travel requires lots of resources. The problem with humans is that we don't have any place, where we could travel. The second image is the Artist's impression of the red star's system that is quite near to the sun-type star. In that case, both stars have their solar systems, and if there is some almost habitable planet in the red dwarf's planetary system, aliens may have the motivation to conquer that system.

If the red dwarf is about the distance of Pluto to its primary star. That thing can make civilization create more advanced space technology than a civilization that lives around lonely stars. But could that kind of journey be called interstellar travel?

When we think about Kardashev's scale, we face one thing. Theoretically, Kardashev level 3 civilization is capable of interstellar travel. In models, we reach Kardashev scale 1 after 300-400 years. Reaching Kardashev Scale 2 takes 1000 years, and reaching the Kardashev Scale level 3 happens in a minimum of 3100 to one million years scale.

The Kardashev Scale 2 civilization can control an entire star's energy, and the Kardashev Scale 3 can control an entire galaxy's energy. That thing requires more massive structures than just some Dyson's sphere around the star. There is the possibility that Scale 3 civilization makes metal structures in the galactic halo or puts some antennae in the jets of the supermassive black holes. The fact is that today we cannot make the interstellar flight.

And probably we cannot make that flight in the next couple of thousands of years. When we think about interstellar flight, the civilization may make that thing when their home star detonates as nova and loses its energy production. In that case, the civilization might rescue itself by using a large spacecraft. Those spacecraft would be solar sails that are around the red giant star. Those solar sails would make the Dyson's sphere.

When the red giant explodes, it pushes those crafts away like a hand grenade. In that case, the civilization will not return home. But in some other models civilization will start to benefit white dwarf as an energy source. In that case, the ion cannons can drive material onto the white dwarf's shell. And then benefit energy that leaves from those impacts.

The interstellar travel requires lots of resources. The 3000 years is a long period. And that means there could be anything that can happen. Then we must understand that culture must change before nobody can even try that flight. The thing is that we might know things like Tipler cylinders and other kinds of things. But those systems make time dilation in the capsule. And even if that kind of system can deny the aging of the crew, we must realize that we will never get that crew back.

In some other visions, fetal aging is stopped by a cryogenic system that freezes these cellular morulas to absolute zero, which means that such a system can transport humans to Proxima Centauri B in a couple of hundred years. The problem is that our culture forbids sending human fetuses and babies to another planet to be raised by AI.
